Four Farthings Rosemary (Rosie) is an exceptional 10 year old Irish Sport Horse mare being offered for sale. Her sire is Cappa Cassanova, one of the top Irish Draught stallions of all time, out of Who’s Cindy Sue, an American Thoroughbred who showed successfully in Eventing after her racing career ended. Rosie is 16.1 hands and has already had four very successful careers of her own – Hunter in Hand, Hunter, Dressage, and Mom. As a 3 year old, she placed 4th in Zone 2 in the Hunter in Hand division. A lovely mover, this mare can really jump and has free jumped over 5 feet. She showed in the hunters in 2020-2022, winning the title of Grand Champion Hunter from the Irish Draught Hose Society 3 years in a row, and also won the Reserve Champion Versatility Award in 2021 for Hunters and Dressage. She was presented for inspection in 2022 and was awarded a Bronze Merit designation for jumping. The inspectors from Ireland said that she was a pleasure to judge and was a high-quality example of the breed. She was showing in the 3 foot hunters that year until she reached her 6th month of pregnancy, when she paused her career to have her filly in 2023. She is now back in training to show in the hunters again this year. This is a very special horse and she is looking for a partner that will enjoy her as much as we have these past several years.
