Ellie Mae is our go to family horse, She spent most of her life as a ranch horse until she joined my family as a lesson/family horse 4 years ago, my youth students barrel raced her for several years and she runs a solid 4d barrel run every time. She is not a fast mare and likely will not make a faster barrel horse than 4d. She will only go as fast as you ask. Take her anywhere to enjoy trails, ranch work, playdays or give a lesson on her. She is not a deadhead but is a kind mare willing to do what is asked. She has more whoa than go and is a very forgiving mare who has taught many brand-new riders. Don't let her laid back attitude fool you because she is athletic when she needs to be, build strong and stout with an easy to sit trot. Ellie Mae is broke but not your fancy show horse. She will do all the basics in the arena, takes both leads, leg yields, side passes. She is an easy keeper and has lived easily in a herd, in her stall, and trailers out alone. She currently is on pasture at night and stalled during the heat of the day. Ellie Mae is up to date on shots, teeth and worming. She has a current Coggins, currently wears front shoes. She is a beautiful dapple liver Chesnut with lots of mane and tail.
