Dee is a 19 year young, 15.2 quarter horse mare who would be a great trail horse for a husband, beginner adult or youth rider with other horses. I say this because that is what she has done for the last 10 years. She could be a lesson horse with the assistance of a good trainer. She doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a schooling horse but knows the basics. She is solid and patient on the ground for saddling, brushing, shoes, etc. I have only had Dee for several months and have decided she is too big for me at 15.2 - 15.3. She is a very calm, sweet horse and and likes attention from everyone. Per prior owners she was current on all vaccines and she was wormed after she was purchased. Her teeth have been recently looked at by my vet who advised they looked good and no indication of the need for floating. She had her feet trimmed and front shoes put on 8/21 with no issues. At 19, she can be a little stiff on the front end so a good stretch and supplements would be beneficial. No other special dietary needs. Currently on Timothy grass hay. She has been exposed to my pack of 7 dogs, pastured with cows, goats, tractors and another horse that she has become fast friends with. Dee has been a trail/ranch horse most of her life, lived on pasture with other horses and branded and raised on a large ranch in Texas Branded and raised on a large ranch in Texas I have found her to be very calm when being handled by adults and youths. She was recently ridden by a 13 year old and did great with her pasture mate near by. If ridden often or on rough terrain /gravel front shoes are recommended. I was told she occasionally pulls back when tied so using a blocker tie ring with no issues. She is a beautiful horse, kind and patient. She definitely has some foundation breeding with the western horse physic. Rides in a reinsman āSā hackamore so can be neck reined. Vet checks welcome at owners expense. Pictures and videos available.
