17.2 Hand 6 Year Old Thoroughbred Gelding Badger (Prospectors Tale) is a pretty sweet guy. He is a 17.2 hand thoroughbred gelding with some pretty neat bloodlines if you are well versed in thoroughbred lines. He has been one of the easiest and sweetest horses I have started. He has had 3 months of professional training with Joel Lybbert in Alberta. Badger has primarily been used out on trail rides and hauled around with Joel often to go hunting up in the mountains or work with cattle. Joel said he was by far one of the coolest colts he has ridden. Due to a crazy busy life the last year trying to build a farm from scratch, I have not been able to ride him much. I would like him to go and get used to his full potential and not sit around like he will here for awhile yet. He has been ridden a few times this spring, and obviously has been a little rusty and lazy, but it would not take much to get him going again with consistency. Starting to understand neck reining. Ties well, stands for farrier, stands decent at whatever you can find to use as a mounting block as he is a big guy, in your pocket personality, and loves to go out on trail rides. Never been shod, only barefoot. Only been ridden western, but wouldn’t take much to transition to English should you so choose. You can take this big guy any direction you so choose! Not in a big hurry to sell since he has been very special to me since he was a weanling. Will be trying to keep working with him as I have time in the coming weeks. He would excel with a job. Super cowy thoroughbred that does a better job than my quarter horse with them when hes been taken. Fabulous personality. The sky really is the limit with this one. Not for beginners. Needs someone experienced who knows how to work with young horses. He likes to stay busy and can get bored easily. I have quite a few videos available on request.
