🌟For your consideration🌟 Imperioso, or "Izzy," is a handsome, 17 year old warmblood gelding who stands at 16.3 hands, but looks bigger. He regularly weighs in at 1,350 to 1,450 pounds. Izzy is by Inbegriff (Oldenburg) out of Banjo Rose (TB/Old). He is registered RPSI, is branded, and has his registry “Pferdepass” passport. He is located in Bakersfield, California. Izzy is offered in the mid four figures (🥕’🥕🥕🥕) but consideration will be given for the perfect situation. ✅ Izzy is schooling all of the 3rd level dressage movements and dabbling in 4th. He does have flying changes, but they aren’t quite confirmed. Izzy has a show record, but it is quite lackluster. While he has a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration Number, he does not enjoy showing, and becomes quite tense and anxious. He goes out on the trail, even crossing water, and once he feels safe, he relaxes and enjoys himself, especially when in a group. He has never been jumped, but he enthusiastically participated in a caveletti clinic with Erika Jansson, and he does enjoy going over low crossrails. ✅ Izzy self-loads in the trailer and will stand tied all day long, even when alone. He is perfect for the vet and farrier and is UTD on all vaccines. He is accustomed to clippers, but he has never had the inside of his ears done. He has lovely feet, but is shod in the front as the arena is DG which wore his front feet down too quickly leaving him a little out of balance. Being shod in front has solved that issue. Izzy lives in an over-sized paddock, but when turned out in the yard, he enjoys playing with his neighbors over the fence. He never squeals or kicks as he likes both mares and geldings alike. ✅ He is very sound, but at 17 he is starting to show his age slightly. He had his hocks injected in February as well as in 2016 and 2017. As of now, he needs no maintenance other than seeing the chiropractor 3 to 4 times a year to keep him happy and feeling his best. A very detailed log of his health history dating back to 11 months of age is available. Izzy was purchased as a 6 year old from his owner/breeder. ✅ Izzy is quite easy to handle, stands in the crossties, and will follow you anywhere. He ground ties in the arena, but he prefers to follow you around sticking his nose into whatever it is that you are doing. He has no vices other than being a (lovable) pest. ✅ Izzy would be best suited for an intermediate rider in regular lessons who doesn’t want to show. When tense or anxious, he can be spooky, but he doesn’t try to lose his rider. He is extremely friendly, so it will be quite easy for him to forge a relationship with his new person. Once he becomes attached, he will try to please, but he needs a rider who is firm, FAIR, and KIND. He might also be useful to a trainer as a lesson horse for more advanced riders as he has plenty of buttons. ✅ Photos and more: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/15xs2qR6ZwY5s6CM_mWQUNVJ3RwaXFIdzgGy6osUtIS4/edit?usp=sharing
