Gallant Warren is an 8-year-old chestnut Thoroughbred gelding standing approximately 16.2 hands. This shiny penny completed 63 starts and earned almost $220,000 in winnings. By Gallant Son, out of Chichetari Miss (by With Approval), Warren is a big, athletic horse that is ready to go in any direction. Warren retired from the track in December of 2024. He has a small chip on his left front sesamoid. He has been evaluated by our veterinarians and has no known limitations. X-rays are available upon request for serious inquiries. Warren is up to date on vaccinations and dental care and does not currently require any additional maintenance. Warren is a sweet, friendly horse who likes people. He learns quickly, enjoys having a job, and thrives in a routine. He has quickly picked up lunging (with and without a saddle and in Therabands). He loves lunging over poles and is a great partner when he is focused on a task. He tries hard to pay attention but does get distracted easily. Warren has not been ridden during his time with CANTER, so he will need a restart under saddle. His previous connections shared that he is a strong horse that tends to be on the muscle when ridden. He would make a perfect project for a trainer (especially one familiar with restarting Thoroughbreds) or an advanced amateur or junior in a program. Warren has the potential to go in any direction, but we think he might make a particularly good eventing partner. His big, floaty gaits will get you noticed in the dressage court (the chrome won’t hurt either); he has more than enough stamina for the cross country; and his big stride and forward thinking will keep you well inside the clock in show jumping. Warren is ready to start his new career with an experienced trainer and we are very excited to see where the future takes him! Adoption Fee: $3,500, negotiable to the perfect home For more information on Warren, please visit his listing on the CANTER website: https://www.canterusa.org/horses/listings/gallant-warren/
