If you are looking for your next horse to take you to the next level, look no further. Hans has mainly done eventing but is very competent at other English disciplines. When I started riding him, I was stuck at the 2'6 level. He helped me break through that barrier and is a very good teacher. He took me to compete succufuly this year at Bayou Gluch Horse Trials at Modified (3'5) and took second at Golden Spoke this year at training (3'3). Hans is a point and shoot kind of guy, and you can take him to a jump at any speed, height, and frame, and he figures it out. He knows his distances and is an easy jumper. In dressage, he is soft in the mouth. I have never used more than a snaffle. Goes on trail rides on a loose rein and sure-footed. He has been given compliments from my farriers on how easy he is and stands like a champ for the vet. Clips, loads ( just throw the rope over his neck and he hops in), easy to catch, and stands tied. No maintenance required, he may be 19, but don't let that fool you, he looks like he's 15 and acts like a spring chicken. He has hard feet and is sound. We have used him in eventing, foxhunting, dressage, trailrides, rides on the beach, and almost anything else you can imagine a girl would take him on. His personality is fun, and he is a real lover. In your pocket kind of guy, but will respect your boundaries. I am selling him because I am now competing past his level. He took me. Modified this year, but I think it is time for him to stop going up the levels and teach someone else as much as he has taught me.
