Selling for a client: 6 year old AQHA gelding Eligible for the AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge True all around prospect This horse has a heart of pure gold to match his golden coat. He would be outstanding for an intermediate rider in 4h who is looking for a fun, safe project to learn with and finish out their way. He came to me with a weak foundation and was started completely over. I've ridden him over 3 months and have found all of his strengths and weaknesses. I know him exceptionally well and he's truly an enjoyable horse to have around. He stands tied all day, hauls, loads, loves water, moves cattle with ease on a loose rein, rides english, western, trails, has team roped in the past, recently learned to jump which is in a video posted below. He carries flags and opens gates. He rides in a snaffle or a single jointed short shank curb. He's a sensitive type in mouth and body so he needs a thoughtful rider who won't resort to kicking, spurring and heavy hands if they get frustrated or their own knowledge runs out. He deserves better. He was ranched on 2 years before the current owner bought him and has team roped as well. He has started flying lead changes but they are not automatic yet. He has excellent hip and shoulder control and can perform haunches in,out and shoulders in/out at the walk and trot. He would also make a very fun cowboy dressage horse. Frosty is a bit pigeon toed and has thin soles. He wears shoes all around and front pads, which keeps him happy and sound. I also have current x rays of his front hooves I'm happy to share. I can't stress enough how kind this horse is. He will put your feelings above his own and is such a people pleaser. He's an exceptional horse to finish out in whatever event you want, or do all of the events. I will say he's not a natural slider so if you are needing something that can really sit down and slide, he's not it. But, if you are looking for a fun all around type horse for an advanced intermediate and above, he's probably it. I'm looking for a very thoughtful rider with great horsemanship skills for him, he deserves the best. Please call/text me 402-239-5978 Located near Plymouth, NE $13,5xx I prefer not to sell without seeing the new owner ride him, so I can make sure it's the best fit. Owner would do a partial trade (your horse plus cash) for an older and less fancy horse safe for beginner riders or full trade for an older 'been there done that' type cattle horse. He doesn't need an all-around fancy type.
