Tex has a great temperament and would make an amazing highschool rodeo horse for an experienced kid.
He has lots of go, and will get you to your cow. Tex has great papers and is bred nicely. He has done tons of ranch work, sorting, cutting, roping, he’s done a little barrels and poles but definitely isn’t finished. He’s been on countless trails, packed elk, has done rodeos, walks through water with no problems, never spooky or watchy, has never taken a lame step in his life and has never needed shoes. He is excellent in the box stays calm, and pays attention, you can score cows on him and he won’t bat an eye. He has never offered to buck or run off from under you. He loves kids and minds his manners. He’s very smart and would be a great heading prospect too. He can be pushy sometimes with speed but will correct himself if you ask him. He collects very nicely and is a big people pleaser. He does well in the pasture with other horses but is definitely at the top of the pecking order. He is not an aggressive horse at all though.
The only reason I’m selling him is because I don’t have much time to ride him anymore and he deserves someone who is willing to put the time into him. He’s extremely smart and loving, and would make an amazing great all around roping horse. He would suit an experienced rider who understands horses. Although he’s great with kids he’s not a kids horse he’s a performance horse.
