Kiger Mustang Friesian looking for a consistent job. Donny is an in your pocket friendly type horse that meets you at the gate. Big personality. I’ve owned him his whole life (with the exception of being on trial for a few months) that home unfortunately did not work out. Due to no fault of his own Donny is back on the market. I will be picky on where he goes. The perfect home is a must! Pros: One owner. Natural horsemanship training. Beautiful natural movement, great dressage prospect. Spent two months with a well known dressage trainer. Trailers, bathes, good with farrier, good ground manners. Had teeth done recently. Has been camping at the beach several times. Has done trail obstacles and a despook clinic. Great feet, never needed shoes. Easy keeper. Plenty of trail experience. Has done a few entry level dressage shows. Cons: Has been diagnosed with sticking stifle in right hind. However this does not seem to affect him whatsoever and I do not notice it while riding or observing him in the pasture. Vet just recommended regular exercise to help strengthen the muscles surrounding the area. Tends to be on the dramatic side. Meaning he will sometimes overreact to things out on the trail. Mostly he will stop and freeze to look before moving on, not really a huge spook but it’s something to be aware of. With that being said he will not be suitable for beginners. He needs someone who connects well with him and doesn’t get afraid when he acts like this or tests you. I’m sure with a more consistent job this issue will subside. He does not do well on round bales. He tends to overeat and gets a cough from the dust and debris in larger bales. The vet said it could be asthma but after changing his diet the cough has gone away. My reason for sale is I have two toddlers and two other horses to keep up with and Donny needs more of a consistent job than I am able to give to him right now. He is just too nice to sit in a pasture. Sad to sell but I do think it is best for him. Feel free to call or text for more information or pictures. Thanks for reading.
