Mickey [McLaren] is a purebred, AHA-registered Arabian with a prestigious lineage tracing back to the famous sire Marwan Al Shaqab. He is an amazing horse who is gentle, loving. and eager to please. He has helped start many a young rider, including our daughter who is now moving on to college.

Experience: Extensive hunter show background, with consistent ring experience and success. Has also been ridden on trails and enjoys new challenges.

Temperament: Mickey has the heart of a puppy, truly. He loves people, seeks out attention, and thrives on being around his humans. He is gentle, kind, and incredibly willing to please.

Kid-Friendly: Our daughter has been riding him since she was seven years old, and he has always been a safe, reliable, and willing partner for her. He would be a wonderful fit for a youth rider, an adult amateur, or anyone looking for a sweet-natured, well-trained horse.

Personality: Mickey is affectionate and people-oriented, happiest when he’s receiving attention and spending time with his rider.

Mickey truly is a special horse. He's been steady in the show ring, friendly on the ground, and willing under saddle. We would love to keep him, but our hope is to find him a new home (or even a long-term lease) where he will continue to be loved, enjoyed, and given the time he deserves.
