DoneIt is a nicely built 13 year old AQHA gelding ready for your next trail riding (or other!) adventure. I have owned him since 2022, but with a young family and full-time job, I have not been able to ride much lately and I hate to see him sit. I have ridden him about 5 times this year. Videos and first 3 pictures were just taken on Labor Day. I have primarily ridden him for leisure and on nearby trails. His previous owner said they had started heading on him, but I think his primary use was trail riding. I do think he can be considered a roping prospect, but I have not taken the time to pursue. I did take him around the barrels a few times when I first got him, but I don't feel he has any interest in barrel racing. DoneIt has great ground manners and is very friendly, meeting us at the fence and letting my little ones pet his nose and brush him. He stands nicely for the farrier, fly spray, saddling, blanketing, etc. and is responsive to the bit and leg pressure. I've only ridden him alone, but I wouldn't anticipate issues riding in a group. Since I've had him he's been pastured with another gelding who is typically at the low end of the pecking order. DoneIt is the dominant one, but he does not pick on the other gelding and is not mean. They can share a grain tub or pile of hay with no issue. His teeth were most recently done June 2025 for maintenance, and he is UTD with vaccines and coggins test. When I brought him home he had front shoes on, but I have always kept him barefoot with no issues and he has been trimmed regularly. He's been exposed to kids, dogs, side by sides, etc. He will sometimes perk up and look at something new when riding, but I have not had any issues with spooking. Likewise, he can be spunky in the pasture and round pen - running around and letting out an occasional buck - but I have never had any issues while riding. Overall he's a great horse and I didn't come to this decision lightly, but he deserves a home that can give him more attention. We are located about 20 miles west of Traverse City, MI and have lots of space for you to try him out - both in the arena and on the trails.
