2021 Paisley Desert Mustang Gelding – Eugene, OR
Rusty is a green broke 4-year-old gelding, originally from the Paisley Desert herd management area. He is 14.3 hands weights 1050lbs (Paisley Desert mustangs often mature up to 16 hands), Excellent feet, stands well for the farrier, loads, bathes, accepts fly spray, and sheath cleaning.
He was started under saddle last summer and is making steady progress. He has a big walk and trot and an easy lope. Moves off your leg to open gates. This gelding has been exposed to cattle, obstacles, ridden on multi use trails, and has experience swimming in lakes and rivers. He has also competed in small Western pleasure classes, earning both 2nd and 3rd place ribbons.
Due to a busy work schedule, I am unable to continue his training and give him the attention he deserves. He needs consistent riding several times a week. It’s difficult parting with him, but it’s in his best interest, I feel he will thrive with the right person.
