Champee is 3.5 years, and just recently lightly started and backed. We got a handful of mounts with some trot, and are now backing off for more education of the aids while he continues to grow! He has a solid grasp on ground work, long lines, free jumped 3’ over with scope for more, great for farrier, cross ties, spray bottles, can be hosed down, easy to tack up and down, trailers quietly, stays composed offsite! Super curious and trusting fella. He has a puppy dog personality with lots of try. He is very sweet and wants to just be your partner. He is still working on hard tieing and just being introduced to in hand bit work. Giant stride but very smooth under saddle. Will have a fabulous gallop! Has popped a couple barrels for jumps and took to it naturally. Looking to send him in a chute in the near future. He is a big baby still and needs someone who will be patient with him while he grows. That being said- he is game to interact and loves working in hand or on the ground. Perfect home would continue his exposure training and foundation giving him another year to balance out before diving much deeper under saddle. I predict he’ll be a very straightforward start especially with proper preparations and exposure. Due to his age, experience with young horses or intermediate with a trainer is recommended. Perfect for dressage, eventing, jumping, fox hunting, all around.
