Save Ferris (Sloane) is a 2.5 yr old filly by multiple world champion producing Hesa Special Hotrod out of an Impulsions/Juan Zippin Ju Lee mare. She's 14.1 and built correctly. She's been started slow with emphasis on turn out and limited lunging/round penning as she grows. Sloane knows showmanship (started & shown, needs finished), stands hard-tied, knows how to lunge, work in a round pen, has had a belly rope used, and carried a surcingle with a western pad. She's been saddled twice. Has been started on trail obstacles, including a teeter bridge. She'll be ready to start under saddle. Sloane has been shown in 4H and open shows, and acts like a seasoned horse in the ring. Stands for halter and placed in adult showmanship. She is a barn favorite that is very sociable and in-your-pocket. She has been stalled and on pasture and gets along with everyone. No vices. Sound & good minded. Only critique would be that she can be defensive about picking up her feet in the past and didn't want to stand for long, but has come a long way and stood very well for the farrier for the past several visits. Your farrier just needs to be willing to continue to build her confidence with a new person/environment, and she will be fine. I just do not have the time to be consistent enough to feel confident breaking her out myself, and need a family horse that is safe for a beginner. Not in a rush to sell, but will negotiate. She has a vet appt Oct 24th for fall vaccines and dental check.
