He was started late in life so he is more like a 5 year old in training levels. • Walks out on the trails, nice trot and very smooth canter • Can wear trail boots in all terrains • Tall, 16.1H Cons: • Tall, 16.1H • Needs to have shoes on front feet because his hooves chip easily. He is on Farriers Formula for strength and growth . He has full set on now, fronts have glue on shoes to protect them and let them grow. Then regular/nail on shoes will be set his next appointment. I bought him with overgrown hooves and have put a lot of time and money into getting his palmer angles corrected and strengthening his hoof wall. (I used trail boots on him for a few months and they worked great as well). Farrier said he should be good to go once he gets in regular shoes, his soles are strong. • He is cinchy, I have never had a problem because I was told about it when I got him, I start very slow and once tight you can do whatever you want with the cinch. • He has bucked, this is a deal breaker for me. I am not a trainer and don’t want to be, so he needs to find someone who can work him through this problem. He is cold backed and takes a longer warm up. Will discuss more with serious inquiries. For this reason, I am selling him at a huge financial loss to myself. For liability purposes I don’t feel comfortable having people ride/try him out, will consider for serious buyer. He needs an intermediate/advanced rider (I consider myself intermediate, have rode for 40 years). He is priced accordingly, $8,000.00 OBO (all offers considered) Please message me. Located in Redmond, Oregon.
