Chanel is an 8 year old chestnut thoroughbred mare. I always joke that she is out here trying to give chestnut mares a good name - she is sweet, consistent, kind, and brave. She’s a total blast to ride because she tries so hard and her gaits could rival a gaited horse - she is so smooth. She knows how to leg yield at all 3 gaits, turns on the forehand and haunches, and her flying lead changes are coming along nicely. Chanel has been started over fences and is making great progress- naturally goes to the base for her takeoff point and has great form. She’s schooled cross country fences and is brave and easy to ride out and about. She’s a phenomenal trail horse as well - she’s seen e-bikes, strollers, bikes, kids running, garbage trucks etc and is not bothered by any of it. I’ve even ridden her while roofers were taking sheet metal off the roof of the barn and tossing it into their trailer and she didn’t bat an eye. She is fabulous on the ground, ground ties, lunges easily, loads into any trailer, and is the same horse when hauled to a new place as she is at home. She has been consistently ridden in busy indoor and outdoor arenas, while others were jumping, doing sliding stops and large fast circles and was unbothered. I really love working with this mare and know she will be an absolute blast for someone whether you want to jump her, do dressage, or just ride her on the trail for fun. If you’re looking for a gorgeous mare with potential to move up with an amateur rider that doesn’t need lunged for hours before you ride, Chanel is your gal. She is up-to-date on all vaccines, teeth, etc. Plenty of photos and videos available!
