Meet Eshe, she is looking for a SAFE RETIREMENT HOME. - RESCUED FROM HARD AMISH LIFE. - SAFE HOME IS A REQUIREMENT. She is about 16 years old. She is 100% standardbred. She has a freeze brand # on her neck. She was born as a cart racer. And ended up with the amish. D.O.B 2009. ABOUT 17-18 HANDS TALL. She was dumped at a auction with her 3 month old foal. We rescued the pair. (FOAL NOT FOR SALE) We have made the decision to keep her foal. The baby will be weaned and separated before Eshe can go to her new home. She has some type of previous shoulder/leg injury from racing/amish life. We have called the vet out, we have put her on antibiotics for her leg. We have called the Farrier out and had hoof work done on that leg as well. Weight gain. She has been recovering very well with me. When we rescued her, she was underweight, feet work was needed, etc. We paid $3500 for Eshe's Rescue. Not including farrier and vet bills She has received with us. She has been on medical supervision for the last 6 weeks. She has finished her antibiotics, feet are looking better. She has been gaining weight. Eshe has been THRIVING AND RECOVERING AMAZINGLY WITH US after the last 6 weeks of vet bills, farrier bills, medicine bills, She is almost ready to be released to a retirement home. She will need someone to continue her medical supervision and farrier work. + she needs grain and weight gain still. I have been feeding her grain daily + unlimited hay and free access to pasture. SHE IS STILL RIDEABLE! BROKE TO RIDE & DRIVE **LIGHT RIDING. I have rode her very lightly as therapy exercises to keep her moving on that shoulder, she walks along nicely without hurting her shoulder or leg. She could be rode at a walk, maybe a few times a week, UNABLE TO CANTER. I don't think she is sound enough to canter under saddle or heavy trotting. She has trouble getting into a fast gait. I have sat on her and walked along down the road for light fall trail riding, she seems to do just fine. Definitely cart broke. She could also be a brood mare, she could be re-bred this fall or next spring! Looking for the perfect person that would be willing to take Eshe in for a forever retirement home. Or a broodmare home. We paid $3500, we have upwards of $5000 into her, Asking $2800 adoption fee for Eshe's PERFECT NEW HOME. Must be a committed & serious.rnAsking $2800 to ensure she doesn't end up back at a auction or with the amish. SERIOUS RETIREMENT HOME ONLY!!! this sweet sweet mare has had a rough life and she needs somewhere safe and warm to land for her older days.
