Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/UvOA7919c4g?si=YJ1zyyC2mQ2tMGn7 Uncle Dusan is an OTTB that came off the track in June 2025 and was restarted thoughtfully and correctly, with a strong emphasis on downtime and correct fundamentals. He spent two months in full-time training focused solely on letting down, lunging, and learning how to be a horse before beginning ridden work. In August, he entered full-time training for two months and is ridden 3-4x a week currently. He’s been in consistent work since August. He is now developing collection, learning to hold his frame, and showing a clear understanding of his job. He is intelligent, honest, and eager to work—qualities consistently praised by all trainers who have worked with him. Uncle Dusan has a very smooth canter and an expressive, quality extended trot. He is forward-thinking but sensible—and is not spooky or flighty. He has proven to be a reliable, level-headed partner. That said, he’s also a 6 year old TB and sometimes needs a lunge after a few days off. Originally purchased as an eventing prospect, he would excel in eventing or the hunter ring and has the movement, temperament, and trainability to succeed in multiple disciplines. He also loves trails and is a very independent horse. He could easily be a solo horse at a property as long as there is a goat, cow or other livestock. He enjoys the trails and has not been spooky. He is currently in consistent work 4–5 days per week. Teeth were done August 2025. Sale is solely due to significant changes in my personal circumstances and I’m getting out of horses for a bit while I focus on other areas of my life. He would excel in a program or with an intermediate+ rider working with a trainer or to be with a competent person as a pleasure/ fun trail horse.
