Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) located in Lexington, KY is a therapeutic riding center for people with physical, mental, and psychiatric disabilities. We are in search of a few new horses for our program. We prefer care leases but will also consider donations for the right horse. Donations through CKRH are tax deductible. The ideal horses for our program are: Between 8-15 years old Between 14-17 hands high Any breed gaited or non-gaited (we love fjords and OTTBs) Horse needs to be kid safe and pretty bomb-proof. While we are happy to expand the horses training for therapy, the horse must have a docile and sensible mind when it comes to handling on the ground and under saddle. Horses need to have been ridden within the past month; we cannot accept anything that has been sitting in a field for years. Located in Kentucky or surrounding states.
