He is flashy and fancy for dressage or eventing or foxhunting, and happy to continue with trails as well. Rico is more whoa than go, and a push ride, he has an awesome rocking chair canter and nice transitions. He is honest over jumps and canters them nicely out of stride with no fuss on a loose rein. Rico has extensive trail experience and was the main riding horse for a young girl for a number of years. Their adventures together included overnight camping and countless trail rides ranging from small to large groups. This horse is simply a ROCK STAR and that big, solid-built horse who will take care of his rider and he is safe for all rider levels, with no buck or rear and I have not seen him spook under saddle. I really like this horse for so many different types of riders, he is a true confidence builder. rnrnNo soundness issues, no vices, no significant blemishes (he has a small scar on the back of 1 of his heels that is healing over), great feet, not on any maintenance and never has been. His previous owner had him since he was 3. He can go barefoot but we have him shod in front shoes currently. He has thick tree trunk legs, if you like them made right you\'ll like Rico.
