Here is your chance at a beautiful, TITLED mustang that has been in professional hands since day 1. His color changes by season. "Bourbie" was born in the wild and rounded up as a foal (Adobe Town HMA, WY). I adopted him in 2023. The NEXT DAY he was letting me touch him all over, and he hasn't stopped loving domestic life since. He was very straightforward to gentle. Typical wild-horse smarts, more bravery than usual. Everything that has been introduced, from leading to getting his teeth floated to desensitizing to going under saddle, he has been level-headed about. He was started last October by a fellow professional (I was busy having a baby), and then when I was back to riding in March he picked up right where he left off. Smooth gaits, canter you want to ride all day. He knows his leads, turns, side-passes, leg yields, will take a jump, ridden English and Western, awesome on trail. Ties, cross-ties, loads on trailer, great for vet and dentist. He wiggles a bit for the farrier, so I hold him. Barefoot with those solid mustang feet. EASY keeper. Great in a stall (currently on 12/12 turnout) and tidy. He is young and has an active brain. He'd probably love to do tricks. He is not a horse for an inexperienced or timid person, as his bravery can lead him to be pushy for people that aren't his "herd boss". He is the same with his equine friends, thus I would recommend he either be in his own turnout, with other mustangs, or "boss type" horses. He is not nice to the "weak" horses in a herd; it is the one area where his wild side comes out. I have had one of my teenage students ride him, and he was a very good boy. We have been dealing with low Vit E the last few months, but with supplementation I'm finally seeing good results. I am going to be very picky with where this horse goes. He deserves a home that is willing to work with his quirks. He will go with a no-auction, first right of refusal contract. You must have safe fencing (no wire). Price is reflective of my desire for a good home for him. Video on Youtube.
