Triss, affectionately known as Half-Pint, is a 14 year old, 14 hand grade (my vet suspects she is part Morgan) pony mare. Although she had a late start under saddle after being a broodmare she is naturally a calm, quiet, lesson pony type ride. This is the horse I would put my grandma on. She’s very level headed, not spooky or mare-ish, more woah than go, and a total confidence builder ride. Half-Pint is as good on trails as she is in the arena and has impeccable ground manners. She is also extremely low maintenance, she is sound with no supplements or injections, although she does enjoy an occasional chiropractor visit. I would love to see this horse go to a low stress trail home, lesson barn, or pleasure rider. She enjoys bonding with her rider, loves grooming (especially braiding her mane and tail), and is always happy to come out for a relaxing ride. While she will happily cart her rider around a walk/trot pile of poles course she is not enjoying being a dressage horse and is thus, regretfully, offered for sale. The video shows her second ride in a month, no prep, just saddled her up, did a short walk warm up, and she trotted off just like that.
