“JUST PUSH PLAY” 2018 TB gelding, about 15.3h Calling all TB people! Are you looking for a fun, personable partner? De Niro is an unraced TB looking for his next partner that he can shine with! Not necessarily the brightest crayon in the box, he makes up for that with his good nature and genuinely love life demeanor. With a previous owner he was part of a lesson program and doing a mix of flat work and jumping. Due to no fault of his own, he’s sat for a good portion of a year and is coming back into the swing of things. Beautiful mover when he wakes up! Would shine in the dressage ring or very easily could play around in the hunter arena or just be your all around guy. Currently I would recommend a confident intermediate handler as his brain can become unfocused and he will have “baby” excited moments on the ground. So far nothing undersaddle, but appreciates a handler who can redirect him back to the job at hand. I believe with more consistency in his life, these will mellow out like in the past. His normal go to is sloooow. Not spooky, has been ridden outside and really liked it so potential to be a really fun trail partner. Undersaddle De Niro is definitely more whoa than go so I don’t see speed events up his alley. He does have some potential maintenance on his left stifle as it presented “sticky” this spring with what is consistent with a patellar ligament laxity. Was injected with Spryng and has come back into work with zero issues. (Vet records available and can chat more about this). Due to this, I’m not going to recommend an aspirational jumping career of high heights but it’s not to say he can’t do some playing around with it again. UTD on everything. Does best on some grain but not a terribly hard keeper. Currently barefoot with good feet. Getting along well with others. Can live out 24/7 but used to being stalled at night as well.
