Meet Richard, a breathtaking 10-year-old Dutch Harness gelding standing tall at 17 hands. This big, handsome guy turns heads everywhere he goes — his presence, movement, and kind eyes will leave you speechless every single time you see him.
Richard is the definition of a gentleman. He stands quietly to tie, bathe, and for the farrier, making him an absolute pleasure to handle. He’s well-versed in both English and Western riding, and when he moves, you’ll instantly see the elegance and power that make him such a fancy mover.
While Richard has a little spooky streak, it’s nothing dramatic. When something startles him, he doesn’t bolt, buck, or act up; he simply gives a little shake and looks at what caught his attention. Because of that, we think an intermediate rider and up would best suit him to calm his nerves!
Richard does great in turnout with any horse, geldings or mares. He’s not one to cause trouble and gets along with everyone in the herd.
He’s excellent for mounting, standing quietly at the block and waiting patiently for you to settle in. He is trained in level 2 dressage, or simply the perfect partner for someone wanting a fancy, reliable ride to enjoy both in and out of the arena.
