Son of Losson Ranch Seneca, 2018 two-time National Grand Champion 4-Year-Old Gypsy Stallion, shown in both Western and English Dressage, MAGNUM OPUS, (Boone) has the rare combination of size, presence, sweetness and light responsiveness that’s almost impossible to find in a draft cross. “Boone” is a breathtaking 16.2h Gypsy Vanner × Shire cross who’s a real head turner — but it’s his willing demeanor, intelligence and teddy bear personality that make him truly special. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, attentive, and remarkably responsive and light to ride despite his impressive mass and substance. Boone is soft-eyed, kind-natured, and so perceptive he seems to understand everything you’re asking. Though still in his early training, his willingness and sensitivity make him a joy to work with and to ride. He’s very trusting and wants to please, never disrespectful or pushy. ✅ Training and Temperament • Proficient groundwork, on and offline, and in long lines. • Green but very willing under saddle and quiet • Soft, responsive and tuned to the rider’s lightest aids • Naturally balanced, carries himself beautifully, especially for a horse his size. • Listens closely to body language and cues • Championship bloodlines show through in his beauty and carriage. Boone’s a dream to work with: cooperative, people-oriented, and emotionally steady. He learns quickly and retains his lessons; he genuinely wants to please. ✅ Discipline Potential This cross is famously versatile, and his movement, build, and temperament make him suitable for a wide range of disciplines including: • Trail riding, Ranch and Pleasure riding • Western or English Dressage, Working Equitation (he has a surprisingly soft way of going) • Driving, Carriage • Movies, Parades, Vaulting, Therapy • A husband/family horse / confidence-builder type once he has more miles • All-around partner for someone wanting a gentle giant with feel ✅ Health and Handling •Excellent feet and strong bone •Easy keeper •Stands quietly tied, for grooming, bathing, farrier, etc. •Loads and hauls well •No vices ✅ What Makes Him Even more Special When I first met Boone I wondered who would want to ride something with so much size. I mean, he’s definitely built to do some serious work and I thought his best future would be in driving. But as soon as we started working I stood corrected; his responsiveness at liberty, in the round pen and under saddle continue to impress me. I’ve honestly been astonished at how light, sensitive, and downright FUN he is. He has the feel of a much lighter, performance style horse, and is comfortable as a couch, all wrapped up in beautiful, big and lovable teddy bear personality.
