"Teddy" is a 6 y/o OTTB who has been gently restarted after leaving the racetrack as a 3 y/o with no-starts. He is a big boy with a big heart and an (educated) blank slate who is looking to find his next career! He has been restarted from a dressage/natural horsemanship perspective and is best supported by someone with experience restarting young horses or someone who is working with an experienced trainer. He is athletic, willing, and loves to snuggle. He needs an outlet for his natural talent that his current owner is unable to give him due to life circumstances.

Currently located in Corrales, Teddy is shod, UTD on shots, and is just getting the hang of cantering under saddle and exploring the trails outside the arena. Teddy is still green so his best match is someone who enjoys riding at an intermediate or higher level and is looking for a partner to learn and grow with. He is not recommended for those with competitive aspirations that include heavy jumping due to a minor OCD lesion on his hind stifle.

His price is negotiable to a good home and includes a custom-made dressage saddle that fits him very well as well as blankets, fly boots, and saddle pads.
