Name: Whiskey Registered Name: Whata Smooth Whiskey Age: 2 Year Old Breed: AQHA/ABRA - foundation eligible 7 panel N/N Lines: Hollywood Dunit, Nu Chex, Pattys Irish Whiskey Whiskey is currently 14.3/15 hands. His sire is 16 hands and Dam is 15. Whiskey has been shown for 2 years in hand by a youth ( 9yrs old ) and an amateur in Breed show and local shows. He has competed in Halter, Trail In Hand, Showmanship ( his best class ), Lunge Line, and Hunter in Hand. Calmest horse you will find at a show. Takes naps in over crowded warm up pens. Low man on pecking order and wants to befriend everyone, four legged and two. He is used to tractors, side by sides, four wheelers, POOLS, air compressors. He is a dream to load, will stand tied all day long. Very happy in his stall or outside but if im being honest he prefers the spoiled rotten pampered life. Stands all day for pepi spray, hoof black, banding, you name it. Honestly half the time I have to band him while hes laying down sleeping in his stall. Been ponied on trails and on the road. Doesnt care if he is alone or with a group of horses. Has never been buddy sour. You can drag logs around behind you while leading him, walks over bridges and tarps, saddles like a pro, Ground ties with the best of them. Hes an DIY'ers / Amateurs dream. He aspires one day when he grows up to be a kids horse. He is a gelding though and does lack common sense. He gets beat up because he still hasn't grasped that everyone IS NOT his friend, nor does he have enough pep in his step to get out of the way of the angry ear pinned pasture mate. He will do everything you ask without a single ounce of attitude but will only put in as much effort as needed to get the job done satisfactorily. He is just finishing up 30 days under saddle. This does not mean that he has had 30 rides though. However he exceeded my expectations and is doing amazing. Great start to his walk trot canter. Great transitions, easy to bring back down to a quiet pace after a canter. Loves to stop ( ya know the whole only putting in as much effort as needed ). Im not sure ive ever seen his ears pinned. He clips great everywhere except his ears. He's not a fan for that so I use scissors. You wont be disappointed with this guy. He's sane, affectionate, loving, impossible not to get along with. Why don't I keep the perfect guy? I've never been able to create that bond with him. He's great, amazing, low maintenance, never causes issues, but I'm a mare person, always have been. He deserves to go somewhere that he is the center of that persons attention. He isn't a horse that needs something to do every day. He retains and isn't a nut job if hes been sitting.
