One of the bittersweet things about having children is seeing them grow up before your eyes and as I have come to find out they grow up too quickly! From first steps to running wild, from first ride to first pony and now, as much as it breaks dad’s heart, we are at that crossroads with Lynnlee of going from first pony (Keychain) to first horse. Keychain has been Lynnlee’s first pony that she rode all on her own, her “Big Girl” pony. The one that we never worried about when she headed out alone, the one that she just went and caught on her own, spent hours brushing, braiding, putting mane and tail products in his mane (they worked as you can see). Keychain has been her real life Barbie pony that she has played with virtually every day after school and all summer long. We could never thank this pony enough for all that he has done for building Lynnlee’s confidence as a rider, Keychain is a once in a lifetime pony, a true unicorn… Keychain is a 11.2h, stout built, 5 year old, quarter pony and he is that amazing buckskin color! He is every little boy’s or little girl’s dream come to life! Keychain has been Lynnlee’s whole world for the last two years and now it’s time to move him along to another family and let him do his job of teaching some other kids how to ride while setting them on the path of many years of success in the saddle. Keychain has the experience that is needed and he is the perfect size to carry any size kid. (For reference) Lynnlee is 8 years old and 4 foot 9 inches tall. Keychain is responsible for millions of smiles, thousands of giggles, and countless miles and hours of fun with his best pal Lynnlee… all while doing it flawlessly, completely safe and as close to perfection as a horse can get. Even early on before Keychain gave Lynnlee the confidence that she has now, he would tolerate her mistakes with the reins, he would never take advantage of her and was very patient. In no way, shape or form has or will Keychain ever be head strong or spoiled acting, he is ALWAYS super agreeable and easy going. Confidence comes easy with him as he is one hand broke, neckreins around and goes anywhere that you point him, he walks quietly but moves out when asked. Keychain has the absolute best lope of any pony that I have ever saw, it’s like he just floats on air without touching the ground, so soft, so smooth, he takes the correct leads and will lope out of his tracks from a stand still. He just floats along slow and easy while on a complete loose/draped rein or with the reins dropped on the saddle horn. Keychain has been to a couple different rodeos for pony rides and in one night we had over 100 kids ride him. He was a perfect gentleman and super patient with some of the special needs kids. He has been ridden through town, ridden around cows and down the trails. He will take the little riders anywhere that the adults can go… do your little one a favor and make sure that Keychain’s next home is with them! For more info call 606-308-2461
