Balinmore Rebel Lady is a class 1 graded (IDHSGB) pure breed Irish draught, her sire Class 1 graded Rebelara was a Grand Prix Showjumper, whom was sired by Grenagyle Rebel, her dam Balinmore Sea Shell Class 1 graded was sired by Skip & Sea, sired by Skippy Two.
Rebelara alone stands as the only gold merit showjumper in the UK, since his passing Rebelara progeny are very limited, almost now impossible to find, making Bryna extremely unique.
Conformation - A true to type conformation, short coupled, huge shoulder a powerful hind end that in turn produces a beautiful swing to her movement, excellent feet.
Temperament - suitable for any handler, from a child up to an OAP, she is extremely gentle & kind, with no stable vices, loads in to a lorry or trailer with no issues at all, a true pleasure to have in the barn.
Easy with the farrier/vet & does not hold a grudge!
Career - Bryna was broken to ride in march 2025 & ridden daily up until the end of July 2025, she was then turned away to mature until Nov 2025.
Since coming back in to work she has been a real pleasure, stands perfectly at the mounting block allows you to mount happily and will then stand until the aid is given to walk on, extremely elegant & patient.
Her walk is supple & active, allowing a nice contact to form, soft & light, she is snaffle mouthed.
Her trot is quite possibly the most comfortable, she is just like an arm chair, her big shoulders almost hug you & her straitness makes you feel safe & secure.
Sitting trot feels like a soft cloud, supple, powerful, yet cosy & comfortable.
Since Bryna has just come back in to work we have been concentrating on her walk & trot in order for us to correctly build muscles to hold the canter, under saddle.
Free Schooling - Bryna throughly enjoys this and we have been integrating this a few times a week for fitness & natural balance, walk, trot, canter, pole work & a little bit of jumping.
Bryna has inherited her sires jump technique, talent & co-ordination and so for this reason alone she is very much a potential hunter jumper type and with her natural stunning paces, pure dressage could also be achievable.
In fact, this mares future is huge in any discipline, she is a film star already in her own right.
Rider Level Suitability - Now this is a hard one, anyone could ride Bryna, she is super safe, never a buck, rear or bronk, she's not strong at all and very much listens to her riders aids. So if your just wanting the best looking horse to have a ride around on she is your girl, she will work with that OR If your a competition type rider & wanting to train he, then this horse will be bringing in all the medals! She truly is a champion, with masses of potential in dressage, SJ, XC or a hunter, she will guarantee you an easy safe ride and step up to any level of training, happily.
Anyones ride who has the buttons if you know where to press but will also just sit in first gear for the nervous husband!
