From the ring to the trails he is always a gentleman. He's a beautiful mover and sweet as pie. Well bred with an old gentle soul. Regardless of where he is, he always walks with a low head and listens to his rider. He's been ridden by riders of all levels, puts his head down to bridle and is a gentleman on the ground and in the saddle day in and day out. He knows his job. No funny business whatsoever and always does exactly what is asked. He's been around traffic, kids, dogs, tractors you name it. He has a rocking chair canter, is as steady as can be and has a solid cadence that he will keep up all day long. Super forgiving and kind. Not spooky or flighty. Very easy to manage with smooth transitions. Walk to canter transition with voice aids, with both leads as well as a nice change both directions. He can round up really nicely, but you can also toss him away and put him on the buckle, his cadence remains the same. He's very well educated and will do exactly what the rider asks, no more, no less, making him straight to the point. No secrets or silliness. NOTE: He's not overly sensitive and is always forgiving, BUT this also means that he will take the wrong lead or swap his leads back to back if you ask for it. Has is very well started over fences and keeps a solid steady stride all the way to the jump. No rushing or silliness. Point and shoot. Currently doing 2’6 here with no problem and remains forgiving and kind. Could very easily go higher under a program if needed! He’s super willing and very forgiving! He is pretty much grandma safe on the trails and has been around traffic and all, but due to his age and his potential in the show ring, we will not home him as a "trail horse only". We do want him in a potential show home. Easy to wash, bathe, load and stall. Zero stall vices, cribbing or bad herd behaviors. Has rock hard feet. Stands great for the farrier, even to hot shoe. 4 shoes on currently (but we put shoes on everything here- they can come off if you wish!) He is up to date on his shots and coggins and has both my vet and my farrier’s stamp of approval! Can have a health certificate pulled if needed! PPES and trainers welcome! Price to increase with more time and exposure. Videos upon request.
