Exceptionally talented 10 year old registered, inspected, microchipped Oldenburg dressage horse with FEI bloodlines. Raised from a weanling with one owner, “Latham” has been brought through the levels by a serious Adult Amateur with a foundation in classical dressage and is looking for a special home with an owner who understands the horse management requirements of a tall 18 hand Warmblood. This guy has beautiful gaits and is schooling first and second level with strength in lateral movements (leg yield, shoulder-in, turn on the haunches) and stretching the frame (stretching trot, free walk). He lives at an Equestrian Center in Ithaca, NY and has been exposed to a very busy environment with lessons, horse shows, and lots of traffic in and out. He is fit and ready to begin a competitive recognized show season next year if that aligns with your goals. Current owner has a young child and family obligations that are moving in other directions. In full work Latham requires maintenance to be comfortable which includes special shoeing and injections of Adequan IM. He has a slight irregularity in the lateral collateral ligament on his left front, which is protected by a shoe that has a wide outer web.
