He has the big bone and foot of the draft to last a lifetime and the handle and brains of a Quarter Horse to go with it! Well trained with a good one hand neck rein, smooth jog and will lope out on cue. Takes his leads, has a good stop, backs soft and side passes to open and close the gates. Stanley is outstanding to ride out anywhere. He has a ground covering comfortable walk and is smooth in all gates. Whether it be busy urban streets or rugged Mountain trails he is solid, solid, solid! He confidently handles everything in our busy neighborhood, from fast passing vehicles of all sorts to the charging barking dogs, the mini farm animals, you name it. Out on the trails Stanley is a Rockstar! Goes up, down, over or through anything we point him at. Navigates steep rugged terrain like the professional he is. Crosses Creek’s, rivers, deadfall and the trail bridge. He is a great leader, but is equally content to ride in any position of a group or out on his own. Stanley is a seasoned ranch horse and does all the chores that one would expect from a good ranch horse. Jobs that include branding, sorting, pasture roping, doctoring, gathering and loading cattle. He has outstanding ground manners, gets along well turned out and is just good about everything. Take him back to work, ride the trails in style or whatever you wish its all the same to him. He does great with time off and can be ridden everyday or once a month. He stands quite for the farrier, taking up and mounting. He has zero bad habits or issues of any kind and is 100% safe,sane and sound!
