I have a senior Appaloosa mare who is very lonely and needs a buddy, I have vet funds, farrier funds and trailering funds, just leaves the purchasing funds a bit short, so I’m looking for under 400$, or payments.
The old girl needs a buddy, she’s had a hard year.
Preferably something that’s not gonna be too rough on her, she’s completely blind in one eye and half blind in the other and loosing her hearing.
We feed primarily alfalfa and are getting set up to put up a big (and I mean big like only need to fill it once a week kind of big) slow feed hay net for her and whoever decides to be her companion.
We have a very special little boy who dotes on the animals.
We also have goats and plans to have birds, dairy cows and more in the future, we have a young barn cat that runs the yard like she’s on cat crack and we do have dogs.
I have been working with and caring for horses almost my whole life and have owned them almost the same amount of time.
I’ve had everything from rescues about to keel over to reactive abused horses I’ve rehabbed.
I used to run a little rescue, I rescued, then I rehabbed, retained and rehomed, I still keep tabs on each and everyone on them.
In fact this old girl of mine was one such horse, she just stuck around the longest.
