Apollo is a 15-year-old (March 2010) 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding looking for his next partner as I’m off to college. He is an experienced jumper who was regularly schooled at 2’6” and has plenty of scope to go 3’+ with ease. He has a careful jump and a forward ride, making him a fun and athletic mount for the right rider. Apollo took excellent care of me while I was learning to jump and has a solid foundation, but he is not a beginner horse. He thrives with an experienced, confident rider who can ride consistently. When in regular work, he is enjoyable and willing. However, if he has a few days off, he can be fresh, so he does best in a program. In the barn, Apollo is kind, personable, and easy to have around. He gets along well with other horses and very much enjoys attention. Apollo would be perfect for an experienced adult amateur or junior rider who wants a horse with scope and athletic ability, enjoys riding regularly and has a consistent schedule, and is looking for a partner to continue developing in the jumper ring. Up to date on everything. Serious inquiries only, please. That being said, he hasn’t been ridden often as reflected by the price and is negotiable for the right home where Apollo will receive the consistent riding and attention he needs to be his best self.
