5 yo branded Mustang gelding from the Twin Peaks California HMA. This amazing gelding was placed first in last year's (2024) 100-day Massachusetts Mustang Challenge and won Champion of the Day with the Most Versitile Mustang Award. Trained solely by me, he has also toted around beginners and older seasoned riders.
From ranch riding, sorting cows, extreme trail, to English pleasure, Maverick is for you! Light and responsive both on the ground and under saddle. Wonderful ground manners. Moves off well with seat cues. Knows both leads, and working on flying lead change. Side passes. Front and hind pivot. Roll backs. He has played around bridleless and blindfolded; rides in a halter, bosal, sidepull, rope halter, or snaffle. Traffic safe. Used to machinery and dogs. Will pony other horses, tow a person on skis or in a sled. Great for the vet and farrier. Good feet. UTD on all vaccines. Sticks at 14.3, but still has growing to do. Takes up a lot of leg(rider in the pictures is 6' with a 38" inseam). Respect all types of fencing. He lives in and out with a mixed herd. Definitely herd boss, but he has a no-nonsense kind demeanor and manages a calm herd.
