Sieger Boy (Sieger) 16YO 15.3HH Bay Imported Oldenburg Gelding Confident AA 3rd Level Schoolmaster (Schooling 4th) Deer Park, WA Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge/long line, stands to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. Barefoot with solid feet and stands for farrier. Gets along with geldings and mares in a pasture setting, lowest of the herd. No health issues or soundness issues. Vaccinations, coggins and dentistry updated in December 2025. Sieger is a light, forward, and sensitive ride who thrives with a quiet, educated rider. He is not dangerous but is best with a consistent, balanced seat and soft, steady leg and hand to allow him to relax into true contact and correct movement. When ridden classically, he offers an honest connection to the bridle and easily collects from the body. A strong, driving hand or leg creates a shorter frame and trapped energy, so he is best suited to someone who appreciates a tactful ride. He has a phenomenal walk, balanced and uncomplicated lateral work, and correct pirouettes. His half passes and leg yields are straightforward—point and go. His extended trot shows excellent hind-leg reach, and he is schooling half-steps and the beginnings of piaffe. Sieger has taught several of my students upper-level movements; if you understand the basics, he will help you learn the rest. He can spook, but generally “in place,” and he rebalances to his rider quickly. He trail rides, has participated in many clinics and lightly shown. His current owner purchased him in January 2021. Initially, he was hotter than she was comfortable managing, so she sent him to Devonwood for training with Michelle Brady-Haefer. She has since purchased a more "simple" horse from us. Sieger has been ridden consistently off property in a variety of indoor and outdoor arenas and is generally the same horse away from home as he is at the barn. He does not currently have show scores available. He is ridden in a mullen baucher and a double bridle, and while he does not currently go in spurs or with a whip, he can work in both without issue. He has no history of bucking, rearing, bolting, or biting. Sieger would be suitable as a confident AA or ambitious youth rider mount. Mid Fives (4x,xxx) Showings available in person or virtually.
