Winchester is a homegrown solid bay grade Quarter horse gelding.
He is friendly, and needs a job with steady work to keep him at his best. Lots of energy since he's still just a kid.
Not mean or temperamental, does not kick.
Winchester has been worked with a lot on the ground and under saddle since he was a two year old. Will be three 4/28/26.
Has worked with cows some, but we only have a small herd, so we can't use him with them constantly. Have whirled a rope on him and he wasn't very bothered.
He has a lot of energy, but figures out when its time to settle down pretty quick.
Very quick on his feet, so should make an excellent cutter with more work.
Recently changed from a snaffle to a curb, and it changed his life, he is very soft and responsive, doesn't drag his feet when you bump him with your heels. Starting to catch on to neck reigning, but not quite there yet.
Experienced riders only at this point.
Current negative coggins.
Winchester has been off the ranch twice in his life: first time to be gelded early last year, and then again to a vet to get his coggins done (he has been ridden away from the ranch, but not hauled anywhere to ride).
