Maple – Grade Pony Project | 13hh | 3 Years Old 💛

Maple is a sweet, 3-year-old grade pony standing right around 13 hands. This is a difficult decision, but after recently getting engaged (so excited!), I need to free up funds for a wedding venue — and unfortunately Maple is the only project that doesn’t currently fit into my lesson program at this time.

Maple is not saddle broke and is best suited for an experienced handler or trainer looking for a rewarding project. She is still very much a baby and has some normal baby spice that comes with her age. That said, she is incredibly sweet, in-your-pocket, and enjoys her people.

She has been working consistently on groundwork and desensitization (with help from one of my 4-H kids) and has been saddled, over tarps, across a bridge, and exposed to new environments. She does well with hot wire, and handles routine care nicely.

With the right person and continued training, Maple has the potential to make a wonderful kid pony down the road. She is loved, and this decision was not made lightly.
