SBR Peridot Gold (“Cholla”) 2023 Morgan Filly | Foundation Working Western Bred | Dunskin Foaled: 1/4/2023 —Pedigree— Cholla is an example of a true foundation, working western–bred Morgan. She comes from bloodlines developed for function, durability, cow sense, and all-day usability. These are Morgans bred to work, stay sound, and maintain willing, sensible minds. —Training— Cholla has had 6 months of professional training focused on a conscientious, age-appropriate program that prioritizes correctness, mental confidence, and long-term soundness. She has not been overworked and has been brought along thoughtfully with her future in mind. She is light and soft in the face, responsive, and very willing. Under saddle, she: • Walks, jogs, and lopes • Backs and naturally sits deep for a good stop • Side passes • Yields hindquarters • Has started spins She is very respectable both on the ground and under saddle: • No rear, buck, bite or kick • No stall weaving, pacing, or cribbing • Trailers quietly —Temperament— She is an alpha mare with other horses but remains polite, respectful, and easy to handle with people. —Color Genetics— • E/E (homozygous black) • A/a • N/Cr (cream) • D/nd1 (dun) Cholla is naturally cow-minded, with the intelligence and focus to read and anticipate a cow’s movement.
