Rosie is a 6 year old 16h mare that retired sound from the track in October 2025. This girl is incredibly classy and professional - she just has that "can do" attitude and is extremely kind and willing. She has been enjoying her turnout time the last couple months and has learned some groundwork basics since coming off the track. Rosie has even been on a few field trips! We've found that Rosie has quite a lovely jump form and causally hops over fences without getting hot or anxious. We definitely could see her doing hunters or eventing! Rosie also enjoys obstacles and is just so very brave - she'll casually walk right up to flags, balls, bridges, tarps, and will even walk under a 20 ft blowup reindeer! If someone were looking for a project for the RRP trail division, I think this one would be hard to beat! Through her groundwork training we've also seen some dressage potential in this sweet girl as she is learning to use her hind end better and relax through her topline. You can see glimpses of how lovely her gaits will be with the proper work! Rosie is also an all around solid citizen. Stands like an angel for the vet and farrier, ties anywhere including by herself at the trailer, loads and hauls perfectly, and gets along great with her pasture buddies. Due to wanting to keep her RRP eligible as well as giving her some time to rest after coming off the track, Rosie has a limited number of post track rides, all of which were very boring and uneventful. She is more of a push ride and will ride on a loose rein. We're very confident Rosie would be a great fit for an amateur rider to bring along with the help of a trainer. If you think you might be the special someone Rosie's waiting for, please reach out! This girl deserves the best and we know she'll have so much to offer. Videos and pictures available! Price is negotiable but is subject to increase with training. I would love the opportunity to keep Rosie in my barn so would be willing to be creative with sale price if additional training was desired!
