Jolene is super sweet and loves attention. She has been ridden and rides just fine, she just doesnt have a lot of practice trotting or loaping for more than a few seconds under saddle. She walks and follows directions at a walk very well. Definitely suited for someone who doesnt mind taking it slow. She picks up all four feet and will hold each one up for you or the farrier. She will even anticipate when you want the foot up and will pick her feet up for you. She stands tied, and stands UNTIED for tacking and brushing. If she gets spooked, she doesn't kick out, just runs forward and then will come back to you after she realizes everything is fine. She comes when called. She comes when you gesture to her to come over. She is very nosey, and wants to know what you're doing ALWAYS. She is very well mannered, and just likes to go slow. I bought her from the Amish in PA last March. She has pulled carts for the Amish and ridden Western with me. She learns pretty quick and once she has something down, she doesnt forget. She is 15.3 and 3/4, so very nearly 16 hands. Only looking to sell her because I will be moving across the country at the end of the year, and will be looking for a horse more suited to my style (14.2-15h and stalky) WILLING TO TRADE. She is good with chickens and dogs. She is NOT scared by dogs - my dog barks and jumps on the fence and she just stands there and watches him, she does not care. She trailers well, goes right in and backs right out when you're done. She needs more experience with cars or walking next to the street. She gets separation anxiety when left completely alone - so just make sure she always has a buddy if you're not there.
