CJ Wonderful, surefooted trail partner. 11 years. 14.3-15 hand good looking full bodied grade TWH. Will go anywhere you point him and cross anything. Will lead or follow. Direct or neck nein. Nice smooth gait and comfortable to ride. Has good heart/grit and plenty of endurance to carry his rider through all terrain, but is not hot or antsy. Stands for mounting. Has trail ridden many places through big South Fork, etc. Overnight camps. Not a picky eater, holds his weight well. Good for the farrier. Currently is barefoot, and I use boots at times, but has also had shoes. Easy to catch, and handle. His pasture mates are two older mares. He gets along with geldings fine also. Loads and unloads, slant or straight. Respectful of fences and will stay in the strand of hot wire. Looky at times of strange man-made things around him but nothing more than other horses I feel. No buck rear etc. My neighbor's dog ran up behind him very fast through the fall leaves once and he scooted forward a few paces but no bolt or spin, but dogs riding along on the trails by him does not bother him. UTD on vet work, and since his Coggins is about due, I will renew that before he sells. PPE was perfect when I bought him and then I had another one done mid last year as I was thinking of putting him on one of those auction sites but decided to keep him. I am not a horse buyer and seller, just looking for my perfect match like I had in my faithful mare for the last 24 years. CJ is a good solid trail horse, but I am preferring something shorter and maybe even with a tad more "mare" attitude like I have been used to for years. I have plenty of trails at my property, so come try him.
