Talisman is a confident boy who is always up to something! He is super smart and personable and not afraid to take on the bigger boys for some play and mischief. He is currently standing 11.2hh at 3 months old. His parents are 14.2hh and 14.3hh and just like his siblings, we are expecting him to mature right around there.
His sire was imported from Germany, where he was approved for breeding. He has been USDF All Breeds First Level Champion in 2023 and 2024 and will hopefully jump into 2nd level soon. Besides dressage, Tsjalle is a trail riding extraordinaire with excessive experience in everything from beach riding, schooling OHC National Championship Mountain Trail, Bolender Park, packing husband through Glacier National Park .... the list goes on. Tsjalle has extremely good legs and feet, is always barefoot and has never been lame. He has the most incredible work ethic and is a very patient guy.
We have owned Talisman's dam since she was a yearling. Both her sire and grandsire have produced a great number of performance horses. Megan is a calm mare, who still knows how to move and use her body. She sits like a couch and because of that and her size of 14.3hh, the go-to horse for my husband. Because of that, Megan has less of a show record (champion mare of the PNFPG 2 year old class), but therefore a lot of trail experience and can be ridden by any level rider. Megan also has experience in beach riding, schooling OHC National Championship Trail, Bolender Park and varies other trails and exposures.
Talisman is currently not being offered as a stallion prospect, not because of his quality, but rather because we believe he will be happier and have a richer life as a gelding with a new owner that dedicates time to him. A performance home is preferred as we can see him going quite far in dressage, driving, or whatever direction he is directed.
