I purchased Mako from New Vocations, the Ocala location. He had been off the track for a few months and had plenty of let down time. When he came here he did not know much at all. He had only raced once and showed no promise. Since then, he has been in a 5 day a week program with a focus on dressage and jumping. Mako is quite the fancy mover in dressage. He has beautiful lead changes, knows haunches in very well, shoulder in. His trot is lovely, and easy to sit. He is very adjustable. He can easily pick up the pace if you ask and then bring him back quite quickly. He is more of a push ride, so you need a lower leg. He is safe. He will not bolt, rear, or be naughty. He is most comfortable in the 2'6"-3' range. He has just recently started the larger courses. He has done lots of grid work, walked jumps, and you can easily adjust his stride to be smaller or larger. In course work, he does best at a gallop to jump out of stride. He does not have any vices, and no injuries. I had him thoroughly vetted before I brought him here from Florida. I had xrays taken of his feet and back, No issues found. He has no history of lameness, and has been sound the entire time I have owned him. He trailers great, straight tie, cross ties easily. You can take him to shows and he is sane and can stand quietly. He is an easy keeper-he does not need food constantly in front of him. He is on no supplements. He is currently turned out with 5 other geldings daily and does well in a herd. Mako is for sale because I aspire to do 1.10 and that would be out of Mako's scope. I have plenty of videos and pics.
