Wanting to find Tex his forever home.🏠 -Turn 16 in May -Gelding -15.2 at his withers I purchased him as a beginner friendly horse two years ago. Unfortunately I’ve decided to go another direction with riding. He does all the good citizen things. He’d be a great pasture mate. Pros: -great ground manners -great for farrier -he clips -loads and unloads with ease -good for baths -can cross tie or hard tie -respects fences -THE BEST personality -does great turned out with geldings -bottom of pecking order, he’s usually the one getting bullied/ pushed around -has done trails his whole life Cons: -he is a lookie lou -he has issues with his hind fetlocks (soft tissue) -he’s not cleared for hard riding Happy to discuss/share all vet records. He is ONLY good for light riding like walking and trails. He needs an experienced rider who knows how to be assertive when he does spook/look and walk him through it. I have too much anxiety to do so. I just want him to have a good home. I will only sell him with a first right of refusal buy back contract. I do not want him pawned off to numerous homes. He’s very special to me and I wana be sure he has a forever home with his next partner. I’m more concerned about finding him his forever person than money. He will come with his blankets, and fly mask as he has sensitive eyes in Summer. Non negotiable he needs his mask on in Spring/Summer or his eyes will swell from flies.
