Joey is a solid, well-trained ranch gelding with a big presence and personality to match.
He has experience in:
• Ranch work & branding
• Cattle work
• Roping (time in training with the Dubys)
• Ranch riding
• Western dressage
• 4-H
• Mountain trail riding – hundreds of miles
With his size, movement, and foundation, Joey would really excel in Western dressage or pleasure and could transition into traditional dressage as well. He moves nicely off leg pressure, seat, and voice cues and understands his job.
Joey is spirited and forward. He does best with consistency and benefits from being lunged after time off. Because of his size and personality, he is best suited for a confident rider.
On the ground, he ties, crossties, loads and unloads well. He stands for mounting and has good manners.

Joey is only available due to his size. His current owner has physical limitations that make saddling and remounting difficult. This is no fault of his.
