Manny is a special horse. One of the sweetest guys around, plus loads of chrome! Kind. Honest. Beautiful inside and out. This gelding is an incredibly sweet, people-oriented horse with a heart of gold. He is the kind of horse that makes you feel safe, supported, and genuinely happy to be around. He loves groundwork, and enjoys just spending time with his person. He is currently being introduced to clicker training, which he’s taking to with enthusiasm. Even at his age, he loves to learn. Under saddle, he is a willing and hardworking partner. He goes both English and Western, enjoys having a job, and is happiest when he has someone who can gently take the lead. He shines on the trail and is a fantastic companion horse—confident and relaxed when riding with another horse. Because of this, he would be an excellent trail horse, pack horse, hunting partner, or a fun all-around horse for someone who wants to try a little of everything. He would also be well-suited for a 4-H home. Manny has been a pack horse, lesson horse, outfitter horse, and amazing trail partner. He's done parades, 4h, and light roping and cow work. Manny is exceptionally kid- and husband-friendly—the type of horse you feel comfortable putting a variety of (slightly experienced) riders on. While he can become anxious when left entirely alone, he has never exhibited any unsafe behaviours- no rear or buck. He does occasionally put up a small fight when trying to leave his heard, but gets over it quickly. Physically, this boy is a showstopper. He is a striking tobiano with a lot of chrome and a beautiful bald face (without the health concerns associated with blue-eyed bald faces). He does not require maintenance and has only been on supplements to support overall wellness. He wears a fly mask daily for UV protection—not a necessity, but something we’ve done anyway. Manny is a genuinely special horse—kind, versatile, and steady—who will make someone a wonderful partner for years to come. He is best suited for a home that values connection, positivity, and fun. Goods: -Loads and unloads without fuss. -Stands well for the farrier and vet. -UTD on all vax, teeth, hoof trims, etc. -Bomb-proof. No spook. Absolutely zero kick, bite, buck, or rear. -Has been roped off of, flagged off of, in the back country, around cows, you name it. -Been checked for eye problems by an equine optometrist, passed with flying colours. -Teeth recently floated. - Calm, sweet, and loving. The Meh: -The only real down side with Manny is his "buddy sourness." Although he is absolutely willing to work alone, it takes him some time to get confident enough to do so perfectly. He works best when he can even just see other horses. He does perfectly fine trailering out away from his property alone, though! Being "home alone" seems to be his main anxiety trigger. -Partial to thrush- needs an otc treatment, ideally whenever his hooves are picked.
