Aragon is a lovely horse. He is a 16 years old gelding and has spend most of his life on the trail. He would make someone a nice endurance horse or trail buddy. I have also recently discovered he quite likes obstacle courses. On the trail he is trustworthy, careful, takes care of himself and his rider. He has been ridden in all kinds of terrain. He doesn’t care if he leads the ride, is in the middle of the pack or bringing up the rear. He has been ridden English and Western, barefoot, with shoes, bit and bitless. He trailers well, ties well, camps well, tacks well, blankets well, and easy to catch. He does great in heat and in cold (has never been body shaved because he doesn’t grow that much winter hair even in the coldest of Idaho winters.) Vaccination/teeth/sheaths/coggins have all been maintained throughout his life. He is an easy keeper, no health problems or past injuries. In fact, less is better with him. He doesn’t need special feed or a bunch of extra supplements. He does great on pasture and/or hay feed. He gets along great with other horses, very submissive in a herd. Has lived in a stall, paddock and pasture. One physical trait to consider: his cute white nose will sunburn, so I put sunscreen on it during the hot summer months. Three personality traits to consider: he is a one rider type of horse, once he builds trust with his personal that person is his entire world. He also doesn’t like to be ridden alone, prefers the company of other horses. He has a fast walk and great trot. He can collect all three gaits but honestly he’s not very good at it. He likes going down the trail or through an obstacles course. He tolerates when I ride him in an arena but he doesn’t enjoy it. I would prefer to sell him to someone who would consider themselves an intermediate rider and has experience with the Arabian breed. I am also willing to sell all his tack with him (the blue Wintec/Endurance tack in the pictures). I am moving out of the country and sadly can’t take him with me.
