Full ad on Facebook Name: Merlin Size: 14.3h Age: 16yo Breed: saddlebred x draft (not papered) Sex: Gelding Color: Tricolor buckskin paint Location: DFW Price: $7️⃣, 5️⃣🥕🥕 OBO (includes goodies listed below) Favorite things: watermelon and getting his face brushed Gaited (walk, pace, trot, canter, gallop) Meet Merlin, a solid, dependable, and hardworking gelding. Even though he does love little kids, he would prefer an adult that can match his confidence. Merlin is only available because he isn’t the right match for my long‑term goals; he has absolutely no issues and he loves having a job and thrives with a rider who enjoys an enthusiastic partner. Merlin is the definition of a “point‑and‑go” trail horse. Water, brush, woods, tall grass, off-roading—whatever adventure you dream up, he’s ready to take you there. He’s well‑known at the barn as a fantastic lead horse, and his natural gait makes every ride smooth and comfortable. Originally trained and ridden Western, Merlin has been exclusively English for the past two years—but he’s happy in either discipline. He can do arena work when asked, but his heart is truly on the trails and out exploring. If you enjoy endurance or long trail miles, he’ll be your perfect partner. Don’t let those shorter legs fool you—this guy can move! Merlin is naturally more “go” than “whoa,” with a powerful, energetic walk, a nice easy pace, and a smooth, silky canter. He can trot, but it takes him a minute to figure out his legs. While this guy has been spoiled with all of the spa treatments and pampering a horse could want, he needs no maintenance, barefoot and is just as happy to live full time outside as long as he consistently has a job. He is the bottom of the totem pole in the pasture and has been kept with all sorts- mares, geldings and even donkeys. He’s also as polite as they come: great for the farrier and vet, calm in cross‑ties, easy to catch, trailers well, and settles quickly off property. He’s up to date on vaccinations, sees the farrier every 5 weeks (next trim is on 2/13), and gets his teeth floated on 3/1. As mentioned above, Merlin comes fully equipped, so you can hit the trails right away- all you need is a saddle and a bit! Including: Almost brand new EasyBoot Trail boots, Tacktical winter blanket, Tacktical brushing boots, Lemieux white brushing boots, Horseware Ireland matching fly sheet & fly mask, halter & lead, PS of Sweden English bridle (no bit), embroidered saddle cover and stall bag, and remaining SmartPak & Vermont Blend supplements (He doesn’t need supplements—he’s just spoiled!) I have plenty of pictures, videos, DNA results, full-body X‑rays from when I got him 2 years ago, and complete vet/shot records. If you have questions, want more photos, or would like to schedule a ride, please reach out anytime. Because Merlin is special to me, I will ask where he’ll be kept—ensuring he goes to a loving
